Fore Front Ortho Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice in Norfolk, Virginia. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration and patient-centered care, allowing you to play a pivotal role in helping our patients restore mobility, alleviate pain, and improve their overall quality of life. Our clinic spans an impressive 5000 square feet and features advanced sports medicine technology, which enables us to provide the highest level of care to our patients. Our team composition includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all unified in our mission to support our clients' rehabilitation journeys.

Work Environment

Working onsite in our collaborative rehabilitation center, you will be part of a positive and supportive environment that prioritizes professional development and teamwork. Our standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, providing a predictable work-life balance while you make a meaningful impact on the lives of your patients. In this role, you will utilize our advanced electronic medical record (EMR) system, WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and seamless communication with fellow healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their rehabilitation needs and objectives, ensuring comprehensive understanding of their conditions.
• Manage a scheduled caseload, typically treating one patient per hour, allowing for focused and individualized care.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing various evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques, with an emphasis on orthopedic conditions.
• Employ manual therapy techniques and specialized exercise protocols designed to improve patient strength, flexibility, and overall mobility.
• Facilitate non-surgical rehabilitation approaches to alleviate reliance on medications, fostering a holistic healing process.
• Motivate and empower patients throughout their therapy journeys, encouraging goal setting and active participation in their recovery process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers for integrated care, tapping into multidisciplinary expertise to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Continuously assess treatment efficacy, monitor patient progress, and adapt care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all patient interactions and treatment services provided in compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals seeking rehabilitation from various orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including but not limited to joint replacements, sports injuries, and ligament repairs. We cater to patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that we provide tailored, high-quality care that is focused on maximizing their physical potential and improving function. Our clinic's welcoming atmosphere is conducive to building rapport, fostering trust, and ultimately guiding patients toward their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist within the state of Virginia.
• A clean professional record, free from history of disciplinary actions by the licensing board.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop and execute effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in using WebPT EMR software to manage patient records and treatment documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, with a strong focus on sports medicine and rehabilitation is a plus.
• Familiarity with the latest therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies, enhancing the patient care experience.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 90,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
