Staff DevSecOps Engineer

Leading the security engineering posture for a strategic engagement with a top-tier pharmaceutical company, the remote contract Staff DevSecOps Engineer will define secure software practices across cloud environments, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities Define and own the DevSecOps reference architecture and set a multi-year roadmap for security and compliance across cloud workloads Design and operate hardened cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines with integrated security measures Engineer controls for regulatory compliance and partner with validation teams to align DevSecOps tooling with industry standards Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in security engineering, platform engineering, or SRE, with 4+ years leading DevSecOps initiatives Deep expertise in at least one major public cloud (preferably AWS) at production scale Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript, and fluency in infrastructure-as-code with Terraform Experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and working knowledge of Kubernetes security Track record of operating in regulated industries and translating compliance frameworks into engineering controls
