In this role you’ll provide analytical expertise to drive process improvements, conduct specialized studies, and define clear requirements while developing functional architectures for both front‑end and back‑end components. You’ll lead the migration from AWS to Azure, ensuring a smooth transition for existing services and building new Azure‑native capabilities. Rapid response cycles are essential: you’ll perform time‑critical analysis of application issues, recommend actions, and deliver hot‑fixes or roll‑backs as needed, owning the deployment pipeline with Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices. Collaboration with a small testing team will ensure functionality, performance, and security throughout the development lifecycle. The Work The work centers on providing Software Development and analytical expertise to build tools and resources and drive process improvements, define requirements, and develop functional architectures for both front‑end and back‑end systems while overseeing the migration of existing AWS applications to Azure. You’ll design, code, test, and deploy new cloud‑native solutions, manage rapid hot‑fix and rollback cycles, and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for timely patch releases. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) IT Systems Administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms. Five years of proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure. Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration and development best practices in AWS Demonstrated experience setting up secure CI/CD pipelines Vulnerability management Container/image hardening Desired Skills AWS Solutions Architect certification AWS SysOps Administrator certification Red Hat certification 5 years experience with CI/CD software development At least 10 years of IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms. Work Schedules Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week to condensed schedules that offer additional time away from the office. Schedule for this Position 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. Salary ranges in other states reflect the candidate’s final work location.
