Databricks Developer (Java Backend)
Remote | 6+ Month Contract
IMPORTANT: Databricks is the primary skill for this role. We are looking for candidates with strong, hands-on Databricks experience , not Java developers with limited Databricks exposure.
Must Have:
- Deep Databricks experience (Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, Databricks Workflows/Jobs, ETL pipelines, performance tuning)
- Strong Java development experience
- Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices
- Kafka, SQL
- Azure and/or GCP
- CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices
- Docker & Kubernetes
Interview Focus:
- Heavy Databricks technical discussion (architecture, Spark, Delta Lake, optimization, pipelines)
- DevOps / CI-CD concepts
- Java fundamentals and OOP concepts
- Parent/Child classes
- Inheritance
- Public classes
- Method overriding
- Live coding exercise involving:
- Tree traversal
- Salary aggregation problem
- Data structures & algorithms
