Transportation Planner

The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking a Transportation Planner in the Land Use and Mobility Options program to support projects related to the interface between land use and transportation, bicycle and pedestrian planning, community school siting, and Safe Routes to School. This position is a unique opportunity to experience diverse, real-world applications of integrated transportation and land use planning and funding. The individual in this position will assist with activities related to infrastructure and land use planning and project funding, multimodal/land use planning studies, bicycle and pedestrian safety, context-sensitive design, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping and analysis. The planning area for transportation includes the 12 counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise.
