Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for diverse populations, utilizing standardized assessments along with observational insights.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Implement individualized speech therapy techniques, concentrating on skills like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to forge effective, multi-faceted care strategies.
• Educate both patients and their families to encourage success outside of clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring comprehensive care across the treatment spectrum.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation that adheres to all relevant standards and regulations.
• Remain up-to-date with advances in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already certified by ASHA.

Required Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting the position.
