As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Norfolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity, verifying authorized access, observing for suspicious behavior, and reporting security-related issues in accordance with site procedures.
• Support site operations by remaining visible, maintaining awareness of the environment, and providing assistance during medical, fire, and/or other emergency-related situations as directed by site protocol.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
