Regional Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Starting Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year based on experience PLUS $2,000 Annual Education Stipend! Environment: Special Education Programs, Grades K-12. Regional Assignment: Southern California - Orange, Buena Park, Chino Hills. Spectrum Center Schools and Programs , a growing organization with a social mission to offer hope, is seeking a Regional Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our award‑winning Special Education team and perform meaningful work in a culture that welcomes innovation and encourages creative expression. As the Regional Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) , you will provide high‑quality speech therapy services customized to meet the individual diagnoses and needs of designated students across multiple Spectrum School locations. This includes direct instruction, prescriptive evaluation, consulting with parents, writing IEP goals and interventions, monitoring student progress, attending IEP meetings, and collaborating with educational teams to enhance students’ communication skills and overall development. Responsibilities Evaluate students to identify speech‑language therapy needs and determine appropriate levels of service. Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans based on assessment findings, student strengths, and treatment objectives. Set collaborative, student‑centered goals with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members. Monitor progress with data‑driven assessments, adjust plans, and provide detailed progress reports. Provide direct speech and language therapy using evidence‑based strategies to enhance communication, language comprehension, articulation, and cognitive‑linguistic abilities. Document sessions and clinical observations promptly for compliance with policies and state regulatory standards. Maintain comprehensive, up‑to‑date case records and submit billing documentation within 24 hours of service delivery. Communicate proactively with families about schedules, changes, and progress updates. Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support generalization of therapy goals into daily routines. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and regional conferences to share insights and review student progress. Provide clinical support and expertise to program teams and build clinical capacity. Mentor educators and staff to ensure effective delivery of therapy plans. Conduct client intakes and comprehensive clinical assessments to inform program enhancement. Oversee quality and consistency of services across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with best practices. Maintain clinical excellence through supervision, staff development, and knowledge sharing. Build trust with clients, caregivers, and families to empower participation in the therapy process. Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed of emerging practices. Travel regularly between assigned Spectrum School locations; occasional overnight travel may be required. Perform additional responsibilities or projects as requested by onsite Program Directors or the Area/Regional VP of Operations. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related field. Licensed or in the process of obtaining a speech‑language pathology (SLP) credential. CA state special education instruction credential preferred. Valid CA state driver’s license. Certification in company‑approved crisis management training. Prior experience or knowledge of providing speech therapy in special education or behavioral health settings. Well‑versed in special education services, compliance, teaching strategies, classroom management, and data‑based decision making. Experience with students with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or other related disabilities. Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for diverse needs. Skilled in motivating students toward realistic goals and conducting critical conversations. Strong relationship‑building skills with students, parents, teachers, and community partners. Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision‑making ability. Knowledge of technology including instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
