As a Resident Assistant, you will provide person-centered care and support to residents in our senior living community. You'll help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that truly feels like home — while building meaningful relationships with residents and their families. What You’ll Do: Provide Direct Care & Support: Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support residents with dementia by providing individualized, respectful care Encourage independence and emotional well-being by honoring daily routines and preferences Monitor resident safety and promptly report concerns Support Dining & Daily Activities: Assist during mealtimes, including feeding and cleanup when needed Help create a vibrant daily experience through social engagement and activities Participate in household tasks to keep the environment clean and welcoming Communicate & Document Effectively: Observe and report changes in resident condition or behavior Help maintain accurate care documentation and contribute to care planning Communicate kindly and clearly with families, team members, and supervisors Be a Team Player: Follow infection control and safety protocols Assist coworkers as needed and help maintain a positive, team-focused environment Take ownership of your role and pride in your work What You’ll Need: High School Diploma or GED Experience in senior care or dementia care is a plus (but not required) A compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused mindset Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire Physical Requirements: Frequent bending, walking, lifting, and use of proper body mechanics Ability to assist residents with mobility, toileting, and transfers Ability to push carts and perform light housekeeping tasks Vibrant Life Senior Living is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
