Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

Registered Nurse – Vascular Surgery / Interventional Procedures

Schedule: 3x10 between 07:00–18:00 (starting Mon–Wed) May increase to 4x10 or 5x8 as caseload grows

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• Active California RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Experience with endovascular/interventional vascular procedures (angiography, angioplasty, stent work, fistulagrams)
• Monitoring procedural sedation and airway/cardiac support
• Vascular access (central lines/PICC), sheath removal, vascular closure systems
• IV infusions/vasopressors, EKG/12-lead interpretation
• Familiarity with sterile/scrub procedures and radiation safety
• Experience with Epic charting system

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients undergoing vascular surgeries and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and sedation as directed, ensuring proper monitoring of patient responses.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to perform procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety standards related to radiation exposure.
• Document all patient interactions and care in the electronic medical record accurately and promptly.

Compliance / Notes:

• RTO (pre-approved time off) must be ≥ 7 days and not within the first 2 weeks.
• Valid COVID vaccination card required at submission, while also noting that COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
• Submission requires two supervisor references from within the last year.
• All relevant certifications and a Nursys report dated within the last two weeks are required.
