Warehouse Supervisor

Shift 3rd Shift: 10pm – Finish, Sun–Thurs Location Joliet, IL Salary $65,000 yearly (plus bonus potential) Position Summary Warehouse Supervisor responsible for managing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring safety and productivity, training employees, and overseeing financial and operational metrics. Daily Responsibilities Negotiate rates with carriers Run site with focus on safety and efficiency Create and transmit daily work logs and bank deposits Audit daily labor and billing reports Meet customer needs and resolve issues Ensure associates follow Capstone policies and safety rules Hold weekly safety meetings Assist with site and departmental budget management Schedule associate shifts Interview, hire, and train new associates Supervise data entry for services performed Complete daily closeout – cash balancing, data upload, payroll record administration Qualifications 2‑5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in distribution/transportation High customer service orientation Ability to train, coach, mentor warehouse associates Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritizing skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment Budget management skills and ability to interpret P&L Intermediate PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Physical Requirements Stand for extended periods Operate material‑handling equipment as needed Work on concrete flooring in varying temperatures Lift up to 75 lbs.
