- # CONTROL TECHNICIAN - HVAC - HARBORVIEWApplyremote type: No Teleworklocations: Seattle, WAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: REQ-0000131549**Job Description****HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** has an outstanding opportunity to hire a **Control Technician - HVAC**.**WORK SCHEDULE*** Monday-Friday, Days* No Telework**DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** Our vision is to create a supportive and empowering workplace for all, provide unparalleled experiences for our customers and patients, and improve the quality of life and health of the public.**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Perform skilled work in the inspection, testing, servicing, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, electrical, and computer controls for heating, air-conditioning, and related equipment.* Work requires skills in electronic, pneumatic and mechanical control systems, and the ability to work independently with little supervision.**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Install, modify, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration control systems.* Troubleshoot and repair fire alarms and supervisory control components.* Fabricate and install temperature and humidity controls; assist with system design.* Use specialized tools for repair and calibration.* Manage inventory of control parts and components.* Perform related duties as assigned.**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:*** Completion of a four-year approved institution course as a Control Technician Trainee; OR four years of applicable experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and pneumatic control systems.* Vocational or trade school training in control mechanisms may be substituted, year-for-year, for work experience up to a maximum of two years.* Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.**ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER**As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
