Registered Nurse Supervisor - Levine Cancer Palliative Medicine Supportive Oncology

Job Summary Department: 39005 Carolinas Medical Center – LC: Supportive Oncology – PinevilleStatus: Full timeLocation: Oncology Palliative Medicine Outpatient Clinic at the Levine Cancer Institute – eight clinic locations (In‑person and Telehealth). Shift: Monday‑Friday 8am–4:30pm, 40 hours per week.Pay Range: $44.15 – $66.25 per hour. Sign‑On bonus eligible based on criteria. Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care and assist the manager with daily operations, including coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communication, patient throughput, program development, and oversight.• Participate in patient, physician, and employee rounding, selection, development, and retention of staff, clinical supervision, and performance appraisal.• Perform performance‑improvement activities, service recovery, and compliance with regulatory agency requirements.• Support the manager using systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and nursing service administration.• Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administer medications as necessary. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the employee practices. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date and must complete the program within 3 years of enrollment. Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association. Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience preferred. Hospice experience needed; oncology experience preferred. Previous leadership (charge or team lead) experience preferred.
