Customer Service Representative

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Work Location: Local candidates only; relocation assistance is not available.

Position Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused professional to provide high-volume customer support through multiple communication channels, primarily phone and email .

This position operates in a fast-paced environment and handles a high volume of inbound calls using a multi-line phone system. The ideal candidate has previous call center or office-based customer service experience , strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Process customer requests related to:
  • Orders
  • Product substitutions
  • Pickups
  • Returns
  • Credits
• Provide assistance with special customer requests.
• Accurately enter and maintain customer and order information.
• Research and resolve customer questions and issues.
• Utilize multi-line phone systems and computer applications to manage customer interactions.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach during daily interactions.
• Assist other departments within the Distribution Center as needed.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a call center environment .
• Minimum of 6 months of experience with data entry and customer service.
• Experience working in a demanding, high-volume customer service environment.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers by phone and/or in person.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to successfully complete required post-offer background and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service, call center, or related experience .
• Previous customer service experience within the foodservice industry .
• Recent experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume call center.
• Experience using Cisco phone systems or other multi-line phone systems .
