Corporate Treasury, Recovery and Resolution Planning Modeling - Director (AVP)

We're seeking someone to join our Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) team as a Director in Treasury to support the development, implementation, and process improvements of the Global Recovery and Resolution Financial Models.In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world** This is not a senior leadership role. Ideal candidates will have 4-7 years of experience**What you'll do in the role:Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the FirmResponsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segmentProactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating themAct as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standardsIdentify and drive additional use cases of the models in a business-as-usual environmentAct as a subject matter expert to evaluate any impacts that changes to the Firm's activities (e.g., new products) may have on its resiliency and resolvability and recommend mitigating actionsServe as the interface between topical subject matter experts and internal governance bodies and external regulatorsPresent to various Firm governance committees and drive discussions with second and third lines of defenseManage and execute ad hoc requests/inquiries from senior management and aid in decision making processResearch, analyze and recommend solutions around data issues and perform necessary steps to resolveSupport global regulatory submissions and ad hoc governance or regulatory requestsCollaborate across multiple teams to implement strategic change initiatives and remediation efforts in response to regulatory feedbackWhat you'll bring to the role:In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environmentAbility to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilitiesAbility to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risksExcellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevityAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required, with particular focus on Excel and PowerPointExperience with complex financial products including derivatives, secured funding, deposits and lendingExperience with the implementation of complex financial models and data management in a strategic IT environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAdept at working in a fast-paced, high-energy level environmentAptitude for detail and a strong commitment to accuracyA proactive nature with the determination to see tasks through from beginning to endBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field of study beneficialPrior experience in Recovery and Resolution planning a plus (directly or via consulting/regulatory roles)Prior experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau a plusAt least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this roleWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
