Overview Group 1 Automotive is hiring Lube Technicians for our Shawnee Mission dealership locations, including Shawnee Mission Kia and BMW/MINI of Shawnee Mission. As a Lube Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance services that help keep customer vehicles safe, reliable, and running at their best. Whether you're beginning your automotive career or looking for a pathway to become a Main Line or Certified Technician, Group 1 Automotive provides the training, mentorship, and opportunities to help you succeed Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid exchanges, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance procedures. Complete comprehensive multi‑point vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs and help ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance. Conduct digital vehicle inspections, including photos and video documentation, to support transparent communication with customers. Accurately document inspection findings, maintenance recommendations, and service results using dealership technology and reporting systems. Work alongside experienced technicians to develop technical skills and gain hands‑on experience with modern vehicle systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area while properly caring for tools, equipment, and customer vehicles. Safely operate vehicles and equipment while adhering to manufacturer guidelines and dealership quality standards. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe workplace. Promptly report damaged, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment to management. Deliver exceptional service by supporting dealership goals and demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a customer‑first attitude. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver license.
