JOB DESCRIPTION: INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE (ISR)LOCATION: Ashburn, VAWho We Are Janitza LP is the North American arm of Janitza electronics GmbH, a leading German manufacturer of electrical power monitoring hardware and software. With our tools, companies can take action to reduce energy costs, improve uptime, and decrease their carbon footprint. Who Are We Looking For Reporting to the Director of Sales, we are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will create the first impression for our prospective customers through business development activities and follow-ups on inquiries for our sales initiatives. Additionally, react to and pursue incoming opportunities - develop relationships, actively drive inside sales calls, setup meetings and participate in detailed proposals, negotiations and project management. The ideal candidate will have relative experience in sales of technical electronic equipment related to low voltage power distribution, metering concepts, networking, PLC/HMI integration and industrial communication protocols. They should be able to identify opportunities with target customers, initiate the customer network, communicate clearly, travel for events and meetings across the US and Canada, and provide timely proposals.The ISR works closely with the Inside Sales Manager, Outside Sales, Sales Engineering, and Marketing to qualify opportunities, support deal progression, and drive revenue. If you're motivated by challenges, eager to learn, and ready to take ownership of creating new business opportunities, we want you on our team! What You'll DoProactively engage prospects and customers via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channelsRespond to and follow up on inbound leads and inquiriesConduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and identify qualified opportunitiesExecute outbound prospecting to generate new business opportunitiesSchedule meetings and support opportunity progression through the sales funnelAnswer customer questions and provide product or solution informationCollaborate with Sales Engineering on technical qualification and proposalsSupport Outside Sales by qualifying leads and assisting with opportunity handoffsMaintain accurate activity, lead, and opportunity data in the CRMOperate in a structured, metric driven environment, meeting daily activity targets and monthly revenue goalsStay current on Janitza products, solutions, and market updates What You'll BringRequired QualificationsBackground in electrical, IT, or technical B2B sales, or 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development roleAbility to conduct consultative sales conversations with technical and non‑technical stakeholdersStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Comfortable working in a quota‑based, performance‑driven roleOrganized, persistent, and motivated to achieve and exceed individual targetsWillingness to learn new products, tools, and sales methodologies Preferred QualificationsExperience selling electrical equipment or technical solutionsExposure to industrial, data center, utility, OEM, or integrator customersAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly and conciselyExperience supporting or working alongside outside/field sales teamsComfortable presenting remotely and participating in virtual meetings
