Holyoke Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cardiac Electrophysiologist to serve as Medical Director of Electrophysiology , leading the development of a comprehensive EP program at our respected community hospital in the scenic Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.
This is a rare leadership opportunity to build and direct a service line from the ground up with strong institutional commitment, significant capital investment, and a brand-new state-of-the-art EP laboratory currently under development.
Leadership Opportunity Highlights
- Directorship role to establish and lead a comprehensive EP program

- Authority to shape clinical protocols, workflows, and quality initiatives
- Established cardiology referral base across the region
- High degree of clinical autonomy
Clinical Responsibilities
- Comprehensive arrhythmia management
- Catheter ablation (AFib, SVT, VT, and complex arrhythmias)
- Device implantation and management (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT)
- Electrophysiologic studies and advanced diagnostics
- Participation in call shared with cardiology colleagues
Medical Director Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership for EP services
- Guide EP lab design, and implementation
- Establish quality, safety, and performance standards
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on program growth
- Support recruitment and mentorship of future EP staff
Candidate Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Fellowship training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease; board-certified/eligible in Electrophysiology
- Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
