About the Job Huntington Learning Center in Downers Grove, IL is hiring tutors for K-12 instruction in Reading, Writing, or Math. We are looking for dedicated teachers to help our students reach a brighter future! Candidates should possess the following qualities:
- Responsibility and dependability.
- Enthusiasm and flexibility.
- Professionalism.
- Openness to working with students of various ages and levels.
- No lesson plans to create or homework to grade.
- Paid initial and ongoing training.
- No more than 4-1 instruction.
- Flexible schedules (4-20 hours per week).
- Wonderful work environment.
- Part-time evening and/or weekend availability.
- College degree required.
- Teaching certification required; Type 09 teaching certification is a plus
- Relevant: 1 year (Preferred).
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred).
- Responsibilities include, teaching students, implementing curriculum, communicating student needs to full-time staff, and creating a positive, supportive and interactive environment for our students.
- We offer paid initial and ongoing training in Huntington teaching methods and our highly developed curriculum.
- There are no lesson plans to create or homework to grade.
- Compensation is between $17.50 -$19.00 per hour based on experience and the level of subject matter instructed.
