Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Location 435 Lewis Avenue-Midstate Med (10123) Shift 36‑hour night position – 3 twelve‑hour shifts, every third weekend, 12‑week self‑scheduling block, eligible $10,000 sign‑on bonus. About the Role The Respiratory Care Practitioner administers respiratory therapy to assist, control, and/or improve patients' breathing. This includes providing oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, and resuscitation devices. Pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments are performed, with additional related duties as assigned or necessary. Responsibilities Administer oxygen and other medical gases. Provide aerosolized medications. Use positive pressure breathing devices. Operate ventilators and resuscitation devices. Perform pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments. Carry out additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred from an AMA approved Respiratory program. Ability to function as a self-directed team member. Must hold a Connecticut state license.
