Business Analyst - Media Domain

Media experience is MANDATORY

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong knowledge of the Appian Low-Code Platform and hands-on experience in the Advertising Sales (Ad Sales) domain . The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and development teams to gather requirements, define business processes, and support the delivery of Appian-based business solutions across Ad Sales and related media applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, document, and analyze business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Work with Appian architects and development teams to design and implement scalable business solutions.
• Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
• Support UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and business sign-off activities.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements and delivered solutions.
• Act as a liaison between business users, product teams, and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

Business Analysis

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise application projects.
• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, process modeling, gap analysis, and documentation.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflow diagrams, and process maps.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Appian Platform

• Strong understanding of the Appian framework and platform capabilities .
• Experience working on Appian-based workflow, case management, and business process automation solutions .
• Ability to effectively collaborate with Appian developers, architects, and QA teams.
• Understanding of Appian objects, process models, interfaces, records, integrations, and deployment lifecycle.

Ad Sales Domain

• Good understanding of Media & Entertainment Ad Sales processes .
• Knowledge of Ad Sales business functions including:

  • Inventory Management
  • Pricing & Yield Management
  • Traffic Operations
  • Billing & Revenue Recognition
  • Sales Planning and Forecasting

• Familiarity with Ad Sales ecosystems and related applications/platforms is highly desirable.
• Understanding of linear, digital, OTT, streaming, or cross-platform advertising workflows is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with media companies, broadcasters, OTT platforms, or AdTech organizations.
• Exposure to workflow modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work with geographically distributed teams and executive stakeholders.
