Authorization Coordinator

Job Description Job Description We are looking for someone with a medical background, excellent verbal and written communication skills that takes initiative, works independently, friendly, and is self-motivated. Core Responsibilities (but not limited to) Obtain authorizations/referrals from insurance companies and/or physician offices. Obtain pre-certifications/pre-determinations for patient medication. Verify insurance benefits for each patient. Qualifications: Experience 1-2 years in medical field. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure Team player Strong friendly work ethic Multitask Ability to deal with responsibility with confidential matters. Must be able to provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Bilingual: Spanish; preferred not required
