*Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Per Diem*

Leeway is seeking a *Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)* to support our rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing setting. This role is ideal for a compassionate, flexible professional who is dedicated to helping residents maintain independence and improve daily functional skills.

*Position Type*

* Per Diem / As Needed
* Flexible scheduling

*Key Responsibilities*

* Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents under the supervision of a licensed OTR
* Implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, and safety
* Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
* Complete timely, accurate daily treatment documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
* Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members
* Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
* Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards

*Qualifications*

* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
* Current Connecticut COTA license (required)
* Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but not required
* Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team
