Sr. Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of HVAC and Plumbing design experience to join our Washington, DC office. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a growing local Mechanical team of professionals.
If you're a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys mentoring teams, driving high-quality design, and working on cutting-edge projects across Multi-Family Housing, Commercial, and Government sectors—this is a role where you can truly make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanical engineers and designers
- Develop and manage project work plans
- Lead system selections, basis of design, and ensure quality of work product
- Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members
- Represent the Mechanical discipline in client meetings and communicate effectively with clients
- Support construction phases including submittal reviews and RFI responses
- Maintain and develop mechanical/plumbing standards with senior engineering staff
- Act as a senior resource, providing guidance across HVAC and plumbing design
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of focused mechanical/plumbing design experience
- Mechanical Engineering Professional (PE) license a plus
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Trane Trace load calculation software
- Strong ability to present information and confidently respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public
