Intake Coordinator/Marketing

Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our mission is simple: to enrich lives of at-risk youth and their families by delivering quality behavioral and educational services while fostering a safe transition to the community.

Intake Coordinator/Marketing: Responsible for the patient intake process; implementing, monitoring, and evaluating that process. Responsible for all patient intake calls; providing information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professional staff (i.e., physicians, consulting professionals) requesting information regarding potential admissions, developing and/or maintaining relationships with ongoing sources of referral to alternate treatment sources when appropriate. Maintains data to report accurately to the QMC committee.

Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical area, such as counseling, social work from an accredited school and at least five years exp.in the mental health field. 3 years clinical experience in psychiatric setting; situational evaluation and crisis intervention experience required. Licensed in field (ex: LCSW, LPC) preferable. not required. A thorough knowledge of emotional disturbances, DSM-V-R diagnosis and the ability to quickly assess residents for their risk to themselves and others. Successfully pass background screen (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug testing.
