Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join a premier manufacturing team in Catoosa. This position is responsible for performing high-quality pipe welding using TIG, MIG, and Flux Core processes while ensuring all work meets company, customer, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive pipe welding experience, strong TIG welding skills, and the ability to produce precision welds in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience required
• Previous pipe welding experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial setting
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Flux Core welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to pass required welding tests
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform pipe welding using TIG, MIG, and Flux Core welding processes
• Weld pipe in multiple positions, including 6G
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Produce high-quality welds that meet company and industry standards
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
• Meet production schedules while maintaining exceptional workmanship

Welding Test Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete the following weld tests:

3G Plate Test

• Open root MIG weld
• Flux Core fill and cap
• Must pass visual inspection before advancing

6G Pipe Test

• 2"Schedule 160 pipe
• TIG root
• Flux Core fill and cap

Preferred Qualifications
• Additional structural welding experience
• Knowledge of welding codes and fabrication standards
• Experience working in heavy industrial or pipe fabrication environments
• Strong fit-up and pipe layout skills

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to safely wear required welding PPE for extended periods
• Comfortable working in an industrial fabrication environment

Work Environment
• Industrial fabrication facility
• Fast-paced, safety-focused manufacturing environment
• Exposure to welding equipment, heat, sparks, fumes, and heavy materials
• Required PPE must be worn at all times in accordance with company safety policies
