This position allows you to work with a diverse range of individuals throughout their life stages, blending outpatient therapy with the occasional need for inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in pediatric communication advancements, rehabilitation for adult neurogenic disorders, or cognitive treatment for the elderly, you'll find a satisfying and versatile experience awaiting you.
Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a combination of standardized evaluations and observational insights.
Craft individualized treatment strategies aimed at both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions designed to enhance communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing ability.
Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to orchestrate holistic care plans.
Provide educational support to patients and their families to encourage progress outside the clinical environment.
Facilitate occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy, ensuring a smooth continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation that complies with state's, federal guidelines, and the organization's standards.
Engage in continuing education and peer discussions to stay abreast of developments in the speech-language pathology field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required unless you are already ASHA-certified.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all ages, with a deep comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding communication abilities for interacting with patients, families, and diverse interdisciplinary care teams.
Flexibility in adapting therapeutic techniques to cater to a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Robust clinical judgment combined with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Competency with electronic medical record systems and documentation requirements.
