Litigation Attorney (Remote - Part-time or Full-time)

Latitude Legal is seeking an experienced Washington-licensed Litigation Attorney to support a highly respected and busy Seattle-based litigation firm on a part-time or full-time basis. This is a fully remote contract engagement offering sophisticated litigation work, flexibility, and the opportunity to work with a collaborative team handling a robust caseload.This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys managing litigation matters from inception through resolution and is looking for meaningful work without the demands of a traditional law firm schedule. The firm handles a variety of insurance defense and civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice cases. While medical malpractice experience is not required, attorneys with a strong insurance defense or personal injury litigation background will be well-positioned for success.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport active litigation matters throughout the full case lifecycle, from initial case assessment and strategy through settlement, trial, or other resolution.Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, demand letters, mediation statements, and other litigation-related correspondence.Manage all aspects of written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and related meet-and-confer efforts.Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and analyses on substantive and procedural issues arising in active matters.Assist with deposition preparation and execution, including witness preparation, outline development, document review, and analysis of prior testimony.Support hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation, including exhibit management, trial notebooks, witness coordination, and case strategy development.Analyze case facts, medical records, expert reports, and other evidence to assist with liability, damages, and risk assessments.Collaborate closely with partners, associates, clients, insurers, experts, and other stakeholders to develop effective litigation strategies and drive matters toward efficient resolution.Assist with coverage analysis, early case evaluations, reserve recommendations, and litigation risk assessments on newly assigned matters.Maintain case files, deadlines, and litigation management systems, including ProLaw, to ensure matters progress efficiently and effectively.Qualifications:Active Washington State Bar license in good standing3+ years of litigation experience preferredInsurance defense experience strongly preferredPersonal injury litigation experience will also be consideredStrong legal writing, analytical, and case management skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a litigation teamExperience with ProLaw or similar litigation management software is highly desirablePosition Details:Type of Role: EngagementSchedule: Part-Time or Full-TimeLocation: Remote (anywhere in US)Client will also consider a temp to perm or a perm hire for the right candidate)Compensation:Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $170,000 - $230,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate's preference (each candidate's pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate's competitiveness for the position).Benefits: In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan.
