We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Health Navigation Behavioral and Psychological Center. This position is full-time and offers the flexibility of remote work, focusing on providing integrated mental health services through our community health clinic located in Murrieta, California. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the individual needs and medical histories of patients, considering how their physical health impacts their mental well-being.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that integrate psychiatric and physical health strategies, fostering holistic care.
  • Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's unique situation, facilitating their personal growth and recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with medical staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure streamlined communication and coordinated treatment outcomes.
  • Provide urgent crisis intervention, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies to stabilize patients and connect them with necessary resources.
  • Empower patients by educating them on the relationship between mental health and physical health, equipping them with tools to manage their conditions effectively.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with patient privacy regulations.
  • Engage in continuing education and training to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in integrated mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse population of patients, many of whom may have co-occurring medical conditions that affect their mental health. This demographic requires a compassionate approach and an understanding of how various health conditions interplay, enabling you to provide tailored support that addresses their complex needs.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT, demonstrating compliance with state regulations for mental health professionals.
  • Experience treating mental health issues in individuals with co-occurring disorders, showcasing your ability to address multifaceted challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective rapport building with patients and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical practice.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a community health clinic or outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Previous involvement in crisis intervention or emergency response scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, a sign-on bonus of USD 3,000 is available to new hires. Our benefits package includes:
