Repair Technician

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare equipment for repairing by pressure washing, blasting, painting etc.
• Check all structural and mechanical components for defects
• Make any necessary repairs and replace broken parts
• Calibrate equipment and paint exterior surfaces
• Assist in shipping and inventory related matters
• Assist in training new shop personnel
• Provide assistance to others in difficult repair tasks
• Knowledge of rig floor and pressure control equipment
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 4 years heavy equipment manufacturing or repair experience
• Minimum 4 years hydraulic experience, either in manufacturing or repair

Required Skills:

• Mechanically inclined
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent people skills with the ability to be a team-player
• Great verbal and oral communication skills

Education & Experience Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience.

Job Requirements: Physically able to stand, bend, lift items over head, and crouch for short periods. Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours per day.

Technical Competencies: Ability to read electrical schematics. 1-3 years experience with hydraulics.
