Position Overview The Enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) Account Executives work in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment, targeting enterprise companies (500+ employees). Successful Enterprise HCM Account Executives are hunters who create their own activity, bring HCM solutions to companies using a consultative sales approach, possess strong prospecting skills, are persistent (without being pushy), and are passionate about the product. Our corporate sales office is based in Schaumburg, Illinois; we are seeking Enterprise HCM Account Executives nationwide. Location: Remote office in territory Reports To: Director of Sales Fully Remote (U.S. Only): This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement may change based on business needs and individual performance, including potential on-site requirements. Responsibilities Determine prospective customers’ HCM needs and present Paylocity services to organizations with 500+ employees. Travel geographically to assigned accounts and partners. Prepare and present proposals and provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process. Negotiate and execute contracts. Work with internal departments throughout the client’s implementation. Develop prospects through cold calling, referrals, professional and personal contacts, and other sources. Attend Paylocity-sponsored trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote Paylocity services. Ability to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in a quota-driven, business-to-business sales role, experience selling to organizations with 500+ employees at the enterprise level. Proven ability with sales prospecting and closing. Ability to succeed in a competitive environment. Critical thinking and decision-making skills to handle objections and unexpected situations during the sales cycle. Customer service orientation — the client always comes first. Strong presentation skills to effectively represent Paylocity and help clients visualize benefits. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong listening skills to probe into clients’ needs and expectations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with MS Office; experience with sales automation software desirable. HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree strongly desired. The pay range for this position is $77,600 - $144,200 per year; base pay may vary based on experience and knowledge. The role is eligible for a variable commission plan, annual bonus, and restricted stock unit grants based on performance, in addition to a full range of benefits.
