Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Assists in data collection for statistical surveys or other reports generated by the Department.
• Participates in performance improvement activities within the Department.
• 3Facilitates communication between the Laboratory and members of the Medical Staff and other Hospital Departments to enhance patientcare services.
• Notifies supervisor of any unusual requests to ensure maximum utilization of resources
• and maintenance of quality care.
• Performs computer functions as necessary according to job duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor or Associate degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or medical technology/clinical laboratory science/medical laboratory scientist (MT/CLS/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician/Clinical Laboratory Technician (MLT/CLT) from an accredited institution Qualified under CLIA guidelines for MMT/CLS/MLS or MLT/CLT
• 1 year clinical laboratory experience or equivalent clinical lab training
• ASCP or AMT MT/MLT or equivalent certification or be currently eligible to sit for MLT or equivalent certification exam preferred. Certification must be acquired within one year of hire.
