EHS Engineer

Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, seeks an EHS Engineer to implement and maintain environmental, health, and safety compliance programs at its Lodi, California manufacturing facility. The role involves risk assessment, regulatory compliance, incident investigation, and safety culture development.

Responsibilities

Implement and sustain site EHS compliance programs aligned with regulatory requirements
Assess workplace risks, monitor occupational exposures, and develop injury-prevention strategies
Lead site inspections, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness activities
Interpret regulations, conduct audits, and deliver site-specific safety training
Support environmental sustainability programs including waste, hazardous materials, and energy management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years EHS experience, or Master's degree
Working knowledge of Federal, state, and local EHS regulations
Complex problem-solving and risk assessment capabilities
Strong Excel proficiency and data analysis skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environment (preferred)

Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 base, eligible for bonus/incentive pay
