Position Summary As a Security Officer – Armed Financial Site in Charlotte, NC, you will safeguard clients across a range of industries such as financial institutions. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to deter security-related incidents. What You’ll Do Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, professionally, and with problem-solving skills. Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unwanted activity and identify potential threats. Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential threats to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized individuals and promote a secure environment within the financial institution. Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols for armed security duties, including handling and securing firearms in accordance with company and legal standards. Assist with access control, verify identification, and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures. Support emergency response activities, including evacuations and first aid, when appropriate. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience. Proof of high school diploma or GED required by the client. At least 21 years of age for armed roles. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
