Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation.Job OverviewThe General Assembly Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the chassis production line. This role ensures that production targets are met, quality standards are adhered to, and the production process is efficient and effective. The supervisor will lead a team of production workers, coordinate activities between departments, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and product quality. As the GA Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the assembly and test of our chassis and components.What You'll Do:Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure efficient and effective production processes and that production targets and deadlines are met.Provide training, guidance, and support to production team members. Conduct performance evaluations, address performance issues, and manage disciplinary actions as necessary.Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.Monitor and inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Address and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and adequate stock to meet production needs.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency utilizing lean manufacturing principles.Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.Document production issues and provide information to the following shift.Who You Are:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or automotive assemblyMinimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory roleExperience in manufacturing or a related field, ideally in the automotive industryProficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications and requirementsProven ability to communicate production metrics and collaborate effectively across departments, including logistics, quality, and manufacturing.Strong coaching and mentorship skills, with experience in the training and development of new team members.Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instrumentsExcellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshootingWillingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing prioritiesPhysical stamina and the ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periodsCommitment to workplace safety and following safety protocolsFlexibility to work and/or train on various shifts as needed.Hours:This role is assigned to Shift 2 / standard hours (4:30pm - 1:00am), and the shift schedule is subject to change.Key Benefits & Perks: Comprehensive Health, Dental & Vision (HDV) – 100% employee covered Early-stage Stock Options Robust Retirement Savings (401k, HSA, FSA) Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) & Parental Leave Annual Vacation Bonus Wellness & Fertility Benefits Cell Phone Stipend Complimentary Meals & Stocked KitchensCalifornia Pay Range$100,000 - $120,000 USD
