Position Overview

The Leader in Training (LIT) role is designed to develop future Team Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Directors within our restaurant. This 3–6 month leadership development program provides hands-on experience in all aspects of restaurant operations while equipping high-potential team members with the skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities necessary to take on greater responsibility. This position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate strong character, initiative, a servant's heart, and a desire to lead others while creating remarkable guest experiences.

What You Will Learn

• As a Leader in Training, you will gain experience in:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside team members during daily operations
• Model Chick-fil-A's standards for hospitality and guest service
• Support shift execution and operational excellence
• Coach and develop team members through encouragement and accountability
• Opening and closing procedures
• Champion a culture of food safety and cleanliness
• Take ownership of assigned projects and areas of responsibility
• Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities and solving problems
• Help create a positive and productive team environment
• Support leaders in achieving sales, service, and operational goals

Growth Path

The Leader in Training role is intentionally designed as a leadership pipeline. Team members who demonstrate strong performance, ownership, leadership capability, and availability may be considered for future leadership opportunities, including:

• Team Leader
• Shift Leader
• Director

Advancement is based on performance, leadership effectiveness, business needs, and demonstrated readiness.

Qualifications

• Leadership/ Management experience required
• Full-time (30+ hours a week)
• Weekend, day and evening availability required
• Demonstrated commitment to Chick-fil-A values and culture
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Desire to grow personally and professionally
• Ability to lead and influence others positively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work a schedule that aligns with business needs, including weekends

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (6+ hours)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and walking
• Ability to perform repetitive motions
• Ability to work in various weather conditions when assigned outdoor positions
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with guests and team members
