Nurse Tech Program – Puget Sound Region We offer a paid position where you work as a Nurse Tech while completing your nursing school program. Your wage is paid during rotations in various hospital units, and you will receive career planning and educational opportunities to support your professional growth. Upon graduation, you may apply to the MultiCare RN Transition to Practice Residency program to transition from a student to a professional RN. Start Dates Continuous hiring every two weeks based on open positions. Position Summary The Nurse Tech role is designed for students enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school who have completed at least one academic term with a clinical component, or for those awaiting the results of their NCLEX. You will serve as a nurse technician under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities You will provide direct patient care applying current health concepts and performing routine duties to the level of academic competence accomplished in the individual’s educational program under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. You will contribute to the assigned unit nursing team as a member of the unit. You will remain abreast of current trends and information in nursing and apply this knowledge to practice. You will attend required unit meetings and classes. You will apply your knowledge, judgment, and skills based on the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences. Requirements Currently enrolled as a student in an accredited nursing school and completed at least one academic term with a clinical component, or a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current Nursing Technician Registered credential. Documentation of current clinical competencies from completed nursing school coursework. Current BLS certification. Compensation and Benefits Wage: $20.00 per hour (flat rate, no benefits). Optional tuition assistance: $2,500 every six months after a 90‑day probationary period, with a six‑month waiting period between payments. Work schedule: Variable shift lengths (6‑12 hours) during the school year, one shift per week required; per‑diem/on‑call, not union eligible. Company policies: MultiCare is a nicotine‑free campus.
