Role Description The Assistant Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Subaru Superstore of Surprise in Surprise, AZ. This position supports the Service Manager by overseeing daily service department operations, including coordinating repair orders, scheduling appointments, and ensuring timely vehicle service. The role involves communicating with customers about service needs, estimates, and timelines, as well as collaborating with technicians to prioritize work and maintain quality standards. The Assistant Service Manager also helps manage workflow, monitor department metrics, handle escalated service concerns, and support adherence to dealership and manufacturer guidelines. This role contributes to a professional, customer-centered service environment and assists in training and supporting service staff as needed. Qualifications Experience in automotive service operations, preferably in a dealership or similar environment. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in accessible terms. Organizational and time-management abilities to coordinate multiple service appointments and repair orders. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes; familiarity with Subaru products is a plus. Comfort with computer-based service management systems and standard office software. Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, advisors, and sales staff to support overall dealership goals. Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and support efficient resolution of service issues. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive training is beneficial.
