The Cook 1/Prep Cook plays a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by efficiently preparing ingredients and assisting with basic cooking tasks to ensure meal quality and timely service. This entry-level position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow recipes and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as directed
- Assist cooks and chefs with basic cooking tasks and food assembly
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines rigorously
- Stock and rotate supplies to minimize waste
- Support timely service by efficiently managing prep work
