Summary:

Under moderate supervision, the Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving sales growth through the development and implementation of marketing, advertising, and promotional activities. The Sales Manager secures relationships with people; generates leads; seals deals; and represents the organization, while executing the established business model.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute marketing strategies for existing customers
  
• Strategize and implement various customer outreach activities - such as creating communications on product benefits, quality assurance processes, product-use ideas, and other informational and marketing tactics aimed towards achieving customer retention and converting new leads into customers.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure that customer orders are produced within reasonable time-frames.
• Stay abreast of industry practices for growing and harvesting of pistachios, regulatory law updates, specially food safety, and other news affecting the pistachio industry.
• Regularly conduct research to search for machinery, equipment, materials, and processes that could improve the company's bottom line.
• Need to have a working knowledge of our food safety and packing procedures.
• Confer with management to outline sales and production targets and contract agreements.
• Participate in the development of new product ideas; design and implement new product plans; and evaluate the success of new product on an on-going basis.
• Represents the Company in a positive manner, by treating customers and leads with respect and consideration; maintain confidentiality of all information.
• Attend and participate in food shows and perform in store checks to gather data on competitors.
• Provide existing customers, new leads and the general public with samples of company products.
• Attend conferences to learn from industry leaders about cutting-edge technology and processes that streamline operations and increase customer satisfaction.
• Visit customers to resolve issues and answer their inquiries; get to know their business for future marketing plans to use our products; and forecast volume estimates.
• Provide input on the aspects of quality control through regularly sampling/testing products and monitoring compliance with nutrition and other required disclosures enforced by the USDA and other regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for researching cost-effective marketing ideas that will help to improve the company's bottom line.

Marginal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish safe and healthy working conditions through the training and enforcement Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Provide administrative support to staff as needed, such as proofreading new film, correspondence, customer orders, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Five years of experience in a sales or marketing position.
• Must possess excellent written and oral skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Driver's license with a record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.

• Possess problem solving skills to develop feasible realistic solutions to problems, recommending actions designed to prevent problems from occurring, and referring problems to upper management when necessary.
• Possess planning and organizing skills to develop long-range plans to solve complex problems or take advantage of opportunities, establish systematic methods of accomplishing goals.
• Be able to effectively read and understand written information, including memos, reports, and bulletins.
• Possess creative decision making skills to evaluate or make independent decisions, based on experience or knowledge, without supervision.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions verbally or in written form.
• Mathematical ability to calculate basic arithmetic problems without the aid of a calculator.
• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines balanced with a strong attention to detail and quality.
