Family Nurse Practitioner

Family Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities: Provide a full range of outcome‑based Nurse Practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF, including clinical supervision, general screening, examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions, immunizations, diagnosing, treating, and counseling patients. Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidence‑based educational lectures, and participate in in‑service training to staff members. Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician. Promote preventive care and health maintenance, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self‑care through formal and individual education and counseling. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans and actions, and to provide patient/family education that benefits the patient, family, and organization. Recognize conditions requiring isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters. Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety. Additional Duties: Perform the full spectrum of sterile techniques, setting up surgical trays, preparing and draping patients for surgery, and assisting with post‑operative dressings. Ensure surgical packs are cleaned and packed for sterilization after every procedure, including restocking surgical supplies. Maintain a clean, safe environment for the patient by actively participating in the cleaning of clinical spaces, operating rooms, and medical equipment, or by guiding other personnel in environmental maintenance. Certified Surgical Technologists pull supplies for next‑day cases, perform scrub duties for surgical procedures, prepare and maintain sterile fields, anticipate surgeon needs, handle surgical instruments and supplies, and comply with sterile processing and infection control standards. Requirements: Degree: Master's degree in nursing. Education: Graduate from an accredited academic program in a nursing specialty field of study recognized by ACEN or CCNE. Certification: Qualified as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, AANP, or the appropriate national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice. Experience: Clinical competency experience as specified in the credentialing instructions. Licensure: Current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any U.S. jurisdiction. #J-18808-Ljbffr
