Manager Restaurant- Full time, Cafe (Harrah's SoCal) Valley Center, CA, United States (On-site) Be the First to Apply Job Summary This position is responsible for operation of Café outlet and is tasked with developing and maintaining a high‑performing team, achieving financial and company objectives, and maintaining facilities and high cleanliness standards. Responsibilities Ensure consistent, high‑quality service standards are maintained throughout the Café outlet. Establish training programs that ensure a high‑quality guest experience. Provide adequate training and tools for employees so they may effectively perform necessary job duties. Ensure that all areas are kept clean and in proper condition to provide a safe working environment for employees. Responsible for the proper scheduling of employees to ensure a high level of guest service while controlling labor costs. Supervise employees, including maintaining proper employee/employer relations, recognition, evaluating performance, and administering discipline. Adhere to attendance guidelines and departmental and company policies. Spend time interviewing, training, and selecting employees. Conduct performance reviews. Make or recommend wage increases and promotions. Provide for safety and security. Handle employees' complaints or grievances. Recommend disciplinary action or discipline employees. Monitor legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws. Qualifications Minimum 3 years Food and Beverage supervisory experience. Previous restaurant/hospitality experience. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, leadership, communication, team‑building, and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent high‑quality guest service levels. Understanding of how job responsibilities relate to other areas of the Food and Beverage operation, such as food preparation, back‑of‑the‑house service, and food/beverage cost control. Calm demeanor and professional communication when resolving customer complaints; willing to work any shift, any day, including long hours when necessary. Well‑groomed appearance. Additional Requirements Ability to work independently. Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts. Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately. Ability to conduct conversations with customers and employees and speak distinctly and persuasively. Ability to create written and financial reports. Ability to maneuver in and around restaurant and casino/hotel areas. Willingness to work any shift and up to 12 hours at a time when required.
