We are looking for a responsible and safety-minded Part-Time Courier to join our Operations Services team. In this role, you’ll help keep the Cooperative moving by delivering materials, packages, documents, and other important items between EnergyUnited locations and external sites.

What You'll Do

• Safely pick up and deliver materials, supplies, mail, packages, and documents between EnergyUnited locations and external sites.

• Keep deliveries organized, secure, accurate, and on schedule.

• Verify delivery information and obtain signatures when required.

• Take FedEx packages to the local drop-box location.

• Assist with sorting cash receipts in the remittance area.

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.

• Perform basic vehicle inspections and keep the assigned vehicle clean, fueled, and ready for the road.

• Communicate vehicle or delivery concerns promptly.

• Assist with sorting mail and delivering interoffice materials when not on delivery runs.

• Follow all traffic, safety, and Cooperative requirements.

What You'll Bring

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid North Carolina driver's license with an excellent driving record.

• A dependable, safety-focused, and member-service mindset.

Preferred:

• Previous courier, package delivery, or over-the-road driving experience.

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

A Few More Details

• Part-time position, not to exceed 30 hours per week.

• Typical schedule is 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

• Based at our Statesville location.

• Job Site Reporting.

• Some irregular hours may be required, particularly around the end of the fiscal year.

• Must be available to work during adverse weather conditions when needed.

• Must be able to safely handle and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.

• This position is subject to on-call work during major storms and outages.
