Cost Accountant

Tukwila 15660 Nelson Place Tukwila, WA 98188, USA Description Tasks and Responsibilities: Review and post daily manufacturing accounting entries. Review cost and variance trends; research significant variations and recommend appropriateresponse. Prepare daily operating performanceanalysis;including inventory movements, sales, and cost of goods sold, toidentifysignificant issues ina timelyfashion. Review new BOMs and Routerssubmittedfor cost freeze for accuracy. Perform monthly inventory valuation and reconciliation of cost ledgers. Evaluate and approve cost review requests, including operating impact analysis. Process CAPEX requests,trackspendprogressandcapitalize assetsasrequired. Perform data analysis using reporting tools as required to perform job duties or as requested by management staff. Prepare andmonitoroperating forecasts based on budget. Review significant variations and analyze operatingimpact. Establish labor and overhead rates in line with operating budget. Perform annual cost roll and inventory revaluation. Work with purchasing and operations management to enhance accuracy of cost components. Assistother employees with information and/or analysis when requested. Education and Experience: Required: Bachelor’sdegree inAccounting, Financeor any related field 5+ years supporting a manufacturingbusiness 3-5+ years of Cost accounting Experience with Corporate accountingreportingand deadlines Intermediateproficiencywith Microsoft Office, specifically Excel CPA Certificate Advancedproficiencywith Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Ability to read, write,speakand understand the English language Ability to communicate cleary by conveying and receiving ideas,informationand direction effectively Ability to demonstrate adequate job knowledge to deliver a world class performance Ability to challenge oneself to consistently meet all goals and deadlines Willingness to strive for excellence by producing work that is free of errors and mistakes Desire to delight both customers and coworkers by offering encouragement, fosteringteamworkand addressing conflict appropriately Commitment to making improvements company wide Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Office Ability to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with coworkers and company in a leadership capacity Problem solving; Ability to overcome obstacles Strong knowledge of GAAP Demonstrated ability to utilize ERP system to support operations Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger,ManufacturingAccounting, Inventory Controland Accounts Payable Travel: Minimal travelto attendtraining, seminars,and other events asrequired. 5% Application: Last Application Date 8/14/2026 The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level.
