Respiratory Therapist- Marlborough, MA (370022)

The Respiratory Therapist provides effective Respiratory Therapist services and set-up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high tech ventilation, oxygen, bipap/cpap, trach and suction and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment. Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have CRTT or RRT licensure in the states inquiring of employment and in good standing. Must be willing to commute and travel to patient homes on a daily basis, this will be a remote commuting position. Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing. At least 2 years’ experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is preferred. Experience in the home setting is highly desirable. Must have adequate PC skills to use e‑mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner. Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information regarding equipment set ups, operations, trouble shooting, and detailed outline of services to ensure complete satisfaction. Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources is essential. Ensures that the team plans daily events to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time). Assists with the proper scheduling of set‑ups and follow-up visits according to company policies and standards. Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges. Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies. Ensures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions. Maintains strong knowledge of MSI’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently. Ensures that the team maintains compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times. Fosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering “white glove” service to the patients and family members. Submits expense reports for travel at least once weekly and in a timely manner to be compensated properly. On‑call responsibilities as needed.
