Commercial HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist – Modernizations / Controls As the Commercial HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist for Modernizations or Controls, you will pursue large modernization opportunities, both plan/spec and design/build or direct-to-owner projects, building relationships and delivering excellent customer service. Role Responsibilities Present at customer seminars to develop new and existing customer relationships and opportunities. Demonstrate expertise in Commercial HVAC and promote Carrier value proposition linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions. Manage complex multi-service solutions proposals and create compelling presentations. Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities and opportunity pipeline. Seek out new modernization opportunities with existing and new prospective customers, establishing and building credibility. Detect the customer’s buying stage and adjust selling accordingly, managing multiple concurrent activities to meet objectives on time. Anticipate future trends and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment to secure orders and bookings. Consistently achieve sales metrics and annual targets, creating high-quality, timely estimates, bids, and proposals with detailed cost-benefit analysis. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of experience with solutions-based technical selling, building automation and/or HVAC controls sales. Ability to travel 25‑50% and valid driving license. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction (highly preferred). Experience using CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, estimating or proposal software). Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills and strong analytical and interpersonal abilities. Ability to influence key decision makers, develop a pipeline of long‑lead projects, and understand customer decision processes. Strong financial and business acumen with goal-oriented sales and negotiation skills. Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 and $158,000.00, depending on skills, experience and other qualifications.
