About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Compact license accepted Certifications: ACLS BLS CPI NIHSS PALS TNCC Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Patient ratio experience of 2:1 Description: Provide care for critically ill patients. Float to other units as needed based on facility requirements. Weekends are required as part of the rotation. Two years of experience in an intensive care setting is preferred. Ability to manage and care for ventilated patients. Experience with arterial line management and central line care. Perform blood product administration and phlebotomy. Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as necessary. Administer and monitor procedural sedation. Participate in infection prevention protocols. Experience with high flow nasal cannula and continuous IV sedation. Familiarity with chronic and acute renal failure management. Other responsibilities include assisting with chest tube insertion/removal and managing patients on CRRT.
