TheExecutive Director of Global Sales and Commercial Operations will provide strategic leadership for the organization's worldwide commercial function, overseeing sales activities across multiple international regions. As a member of the executive leadership team, this individual will partner closely with senior leadership to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, enhance commercial effectiveness, and ensure consistent execution across global markets.

The role requires a leader who can develop high-performing teams, support long-term business objectives, and champion a value-driven approach focused on quality, service, and technical expertise.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and oversee global commercial operations across North America, Europe, Asia, and other international markets.
• Lead regional sales leadership teams to ensure alignment, accountability, communication, and execution of company objectives.
• Establish and execute sales strategies designed to support sustainable growth and long-term business success.
• Coach, mentor, and develop commercial leaders while assessing organizational structure, talent capabilities, and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, customer initiatives, operational priorities, and overall business performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, strategic partners, and other high-value accounts.
• Represent the organization in executive-level customer engagements and major business discussions.
• Reinforce a sales philosophy centered on value, quality, customer service, and technical differentiation rather than price-based competition.
• Drive improvements in commercial processes, forecasting, budgeting, sales performance management, margin optimization, and operational consistency.
• Maintain awareness of marketing initiatives, including branding, product positioning, trade events, promotional materials, and customer-facing communications.
• Foster effective collaboration across diverse international markets while demonstrating strong cultural awareness and business judgment.
• Travel as needed to support customer relationships, commercial leadership teams, operational initiatives, and strategic business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 10 years of business-to-business sales organizations, with a demonstrated history of increasing responsibility throughout a sales leadership career.

• Track record of strengthening commercial organizations through talent development, coaching, performance management, process improvement, and accountability measures.
• Experience overseeing sales management structures that include regional leaders, directors, and geographically dispersed teams.
• Capable of providing long-range strategic direction while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day business operations when necessary.
• Proven ability to operate effectively across global markets while adapting leadership and communication approaches to diverse business cultures and regional practices.
• Background directing large-scale commercial teams at the regional, national, or international level.
• Experience leading teams responsible for marketing premium, technical, or highly differentiated products and services within a competitive B2B environment.
• Ability to champion a value-driven sales philosophy focused on quality, expertise, service, and customer outcomes rather than price-based competition.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including experience with pricing strategies, profitability analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and overall commercial performance management.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the United States and internationally to support business objectives, customer relationships, and team development initiatives.
• Success developing and maintaining relationships with senior executives, key customers, channel partners, distributors, and strategic accounts.
• Executive-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
• Comfortable working within an entrepreneurial, privately held, or family-owned company structure where collaboration with ownership and executive leadership is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mandarin or additional languages that support international business operations.
• Industry experience within manufacturing, industrial products, specialty chemicals, foodservice, ingredients, packaging, distribution, technical products, or other complex business-to-business sectors.
• Familiarity supporting large-scale customer relationships in foodservice, quick-service restaurant, industrial, chemical, distribution, or enterprise markets.
• MBA or other advanced degree in business or a related field.
• Previous leadership experience within founder-led, owner-operated, family-owned, or privately held organizations.
• Experience managing sales organizations that leverage distributor networks, channel partnerships, or indirect sales models.
• Exposure to commercial marketing initiatives including trade events, product positioning, customer messaging, promotional materials, and brand support activities.
