Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) - Mathematics at City College of New York, part of CUNY. Position Details The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2026. The department has strong research programs across applied and pure mathematics, with a particular need for expertise in Computational Mathematics, broadly construed. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics; supervise doctoral students; develop a research program in Computational Mathematics; contribute service to the department, college, and community. Qualifications Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely allied field is required. Strong research record and grant experience in Computational Mathematics. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and service. License to work full‑time in the United States. Preferred Qualifications At least two years of postdoctoral research or teaching experience after the doctorate. Compensation Salary range: $90,838 – $102,017, plus health insurance, pension, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
