Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to adult patients in the ICU setting, ensuring comprehensive, quality patient care. Maintain adherence to clinical standards and coordinate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Use the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care in the ICU setting.
• Collect and analyze patient data, reporting critical values to physicians promptly.
• Document physical assessments and identify abnormal findings to inform care plans.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and clinical assessments.
• Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring they understand treatment plans and safety procedures.
• Perform interventions in accordance with hospital policies while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure in New York State.
• Hold valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Possess recent Emergency Department and critical care experience.
• Certified in NIHSS and Moderate Sedation.
• Capable of floating to additional units including North 2, North 3, ICU/CCU, or ED.
